I found a need to get back to some "old fashioned" painting again - the kind that uses things like acrylic or watercolor paints, Russian sable brushes, canvas and paper! These small ORIGINAL PAINTINGS are labors of love, there's only a few of them at a time because I only have so much time to give to "art for me". ON THE PERSONAL SIDE OF THE HOLIDAYS
Remember this? Well THIS is not a SHE - THIS turned out to be a HE!
And HE is now as big as Pixel - maybe even bigger! Okay, he's cute and he's affectionate when he wants to be (isn't that just like a MAN?), but I now have to worry about getting rid of those little round fuzzy things dangling off his tail or I'm gonna have trouble. Oh man.
I say this every year, but. . . . I am NOT BUYING ANY MORE PET TOYS! Pixel and Tink will have to make do with the fifty or sixty they already have.
As I write this I am getting ready to go spend Thanksgiving with my cousin and her family but I'm roasting a turkey myself on Black Friday because I got a deal on a whole turkey and I never shop in malls anymore - I send gifts from my own stores online and and save myself the time, money and annoyance of mall madness and post office lines!
I am looking forward to my first Christmas with my Christmas "stuff" after 12 years! My little ceramic Christmas Tree my sister made me 25 years ago, family heirloom Christmas Ornaments - that kind of stuff that makes Christmas feel like Christmas! The day after Thanksgiving it all comes out of the boxes and gets distributed through my house!
