THE BLUE LEMON DROP MARTINI
Just because.
Ingredients: Vodka, Blue Curacao, Lemonade, Lemon Slice
Here's a fun and colorful twist on the classic Lemon Drop Martini. Instead of the Triple Sec you use Blue Curacao - another citrus liqueur - which imparts the clear blue color. Home made lemonade is basically the same as using fresh lemon juice and sugar with some water added. Use your own favorite lemonade recipe to bring in the tart to sweet ratio that you prefer.
I did not rim my martini glass in sugar here as I use, instead, a fun rock candy swizzle stick for part of my garnish which dissolves slowly into the martini adding extra sugar as you sip. If you prefer, feel free to rim the glass in sugar and you can even color and flavor the sugar if you like, check out some of my fun ideas for flavored sugars.
