THE COTTON CANDY MARTINI
With or without alcohol
Ingredients: Raspberry Vodka, Raspberry Liqueur (Chambord), Champagne, Grenadine, Sugar, Cotton Candy, Jelly Bellies
Unlike it's namesake, the Cotton Candy Martini is not just a mouthful of sugar. Though it is a sweet martini - after all it's a candy inspired martini - it is nicely balanced with raspberry flavors and a small amount of Champagne. These give this martini a lovely "nose" and a nice fruity taste.
If you can find actual cotton candy - sometimes Walmart or other stores will sell it in a bag - it's a really fun way to garnish the martini. You drop a small ball of the cotton candy on top just as you serve it and watch it melt and dissolve into the martini. Nice special effects!
NON ALCOHOLIC COTTON CANDY MARTINI
2-1/2 Ounces Raspberry Flavored Soda or Pop
1/2 Ounce Raspberry Flavored Syrup
(the kind you find in a coffee bar - Torani and DaVinci are 2 well known brands)
A splash of Grenadine
The Cotton Candy or the Cotton Candy Jelly Bellies for Garnish
Chill your glass as usual but combine the liquid ingredients in a pitcher with some ice and STIR instead of shake then pour into your martini glass and garnish.
