THE FLIRTINI MARTINI
Pretty in Pink!
Ingredients: Vodka, Pineapple Juice, Champagne, Pineapple
There are quite a few versions of The Flirtini floating around out there in the Big City. Some add a little Cointreau, a few use cranberry juice instead of pineapple juice and the measurements differ from recipe to recipe, but, the "Official Flirtini" recipe - according to the "Sex and the City" episode "Cock-A-Doodle-Do" consists of vodka, pineapple juice and champagne - no measurements mentioned.
The recipe above is my favorite way to mix the Flirtini - to me this is a slightly tart version of a Mimosa where you substitute pineapple juice for the orange juice and add a little extra alcohol content with the vodka. Unlike Samantha in the above mentioned episode I serve my Flirtini in a martini glass!
