THE FRUITCAKE MARTINI
Like there's not enough fruitcake in the world already?
Ingredients: Pinnacle Cake Vodka, Pineapple Rum, Triple Sec, Cranberry Juice, Fruitcake, Drunken Fruit
Yes, I went and did it....I made a Fruitcake Martini. Why? Because there is a National Regifting Day (which falls on the Thursday before Christmas) and I believe the fruitcake is the most regifted gift of all gifts of all time! Except maybe for ugly Christmas sweaters.
Despite the fact that I think fruitcake is pretty deplorable in 99% of the cases, my Fruitcake Martini is quite the opposite - it tastes pretty darn good! I used the lovely Cake Vodka sent to me by the great folks over at Pinnacle Vodka...you might want to read my review of some of their flavored vodkas here.
The Drunken Fruits that I call out for as one of the garnishes are really quite simple to make and here's my Instructions for Making DRUNKEN FRUIT.
