THE ORANGE JULIUS MARTINI
Taking a mall classic to an adult level!
Ingredients: Citrus Vodka, Sunny Delight Original, Grand Marnier, Half & Half, Powdered Sugar, Orange Slice, Sugar
Do you remember Orange Julius? They were in malls across the country - I don't know if they still are because I rarely go to malls anymore. But recently I got a craving for one - they were so refreshing. No silly, not a mall! I got a craving for an Orange Julius!
I started to wonder if I could recreate that flavor as a martini and experimented with several ingredients. I don't know what the original Orange Julius recipe was - somehow I remember them having egg or egg whites in them, but my objective wasn't to create something that already existed. I wanted to recreate the frothy, sweet and slightly creamy essence of that classic mall drink and I succeeded!
Now you can enjoy the delicious flavor of this favorite drink as an adult. To enrich the experience of a Mall Meal try these with my classic retro appetizers, Pigs in a Blanket or Mini Corn Dogs. It also goes great with my Spicy Bacon Rumaki!
